Sevierville Tennessee is a small mountain town named for John Sevier, the first governor of Tennessee. Sevierville is an enchanting destination for adults and children! Sevierville has grown steadily in population from just under 11,000 permanent residents in 2006 to 16,846 residents in 2008. This is due mainly to the thousands of the Sevierville attractions in the area making it also a wonderful place for families to reside.

Sevierville Tennessee Attractions are for kids and adults include music theaters, kids’ attractions, shopping outlets and malls, golf courses, parks and recreational areas, and its historical venues. Today the area gets over 9 million visitors a year, giving the Smoky Mountains the title of "most visited National Park".

There are so many things to do in Sevierville and near it that has acquired the nickname the “Smoky Mountain Dream Vacation” by those who have come back over the years. It is not just our favorite summer vacation spot; it has exploded into both indoor and outdoor resorts for year around pleasure and fun. The best thing about it I think is that you can be just minutes from every attraction you could ask for, yet in the midst of such beauty of these Mountains!

In 1986, Dolly opened the Dollywood Entertainment Park in nearby Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is only a 10 minute drive from here for a quick fun day trip. Each April Dolly returns to the area for the season's opening and parade. With her numerous awards as a recording artist and actress received the ultimate recognition when in May, 1987 Jim Gray, a local artist, sculpted a statue of her for the lawn of the Sevierville Courthouse. Dolly has gone on to be one of the Gems of the South as some say, and a major part of the history of the land.
