Mysterious Mansion of Gatlinburg is a “spooky good time,” so say our kids. I’m still not sure why they love haunted houses so much, but it seems we go back every time we visit Gatlinburg. They have been to several haunted houses and this one always seems to be better than most.Mysterious Mansion of Gatlinburg is a good choice for people who love horror movies, especially old ones. It has all the fine qualities you would expect from a haunted house. It is definitely dark and spooky, startling and scary at times. They mix up the simple scares with some hi tech features and of course, the personal touch.
They have some live actors that make the experience a lot more personal and interactive. You can count on occasions when the exhibits literally "jump out at you". So be careful because they might target you for a little one on one scare time! Sometimes its almost as much fun just to watch the reactions of the people you're with, as are the scares you'll get on your own.
Remember - there's a difference between the fun kind of scare and the kind that's upsetting. No one wants to make their children cry! So, if you're a family traveling with fairly young children, you may want to avoid this attraction. If your kids are old enough to understand that none of it's real, go for it!
