Dolly’s Mountain Resort!
The cabins aren't really served well by the pictures on their website - they're actually a lot nicer in person. The kids loved the resort, and the views were incredible. The sight of those lovely mountain vistas outside your window in the morning really makes you want to stay. Soft comfortable beds mean we got a great night's sleep, and tended to stay in a little later in the morning. The decor is beautiful, and you can really tell items were chosen with care.
Even though you'll have neighbors, the cabins themselves are quite private. Whether you bring a group, or come as a couple, you'll enjoy the feeling of being on your own. That means that Starr Crest Resort would be a wonderful choice for a romantic getaway. It's also good for families, since there are plenty of activities in and around the cabin. Should you need information to plan your trip, or to find the best deals on area entertainment or lodging we have often found Reserve Pigeon Forge to be an excellent resource.

Just take a look at the cabins available on the Starr Crest Resort website, or make a reservation by phone. Seniors, members of the Armed Forces, and AAA members are all eligible for discounts, and special packages will allow you to enjoy more while paying less.
Starr Crest Resort cabins are only five to ten minutes away from all the activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, as well as the Dollywood theme park. That's far enough away for the bright lights and noise not to intrude, but close enough that we could enjoy everything we came to the area for.

Cabins at Starr Crest Resort include all the comforts of home, plus quite a few luxurious extras. The majority of cabins have gas fireplaces, indoor whirlpools, game rooms, furnished top quality electronics and cable or satellite TV, as well as outdoor hot tubs, grills for an afternoon cookout, dishwashers and fully outfitted kitchens, in-cabin Internet access and more. There's also a community playground and community pool, as well as laundry and linen service. Cabins are well stocked with paper towels, soak, shampoo, and other necessities.

After looking over all the cabin and location options at Starr Crest Resort we decided to reserve the “Over The Top” cabin. Even though the brochures said it's a one bedroom cabin, a family could easily stay here. And there is plenty to do for ourselves as well as the kids. We had a jetted hot tub, pool table, air hockey table, game table, internet, large flat screen TV, a deck swing and a great mountain view.
Our cabin was very pleasant, so much we almost didn't want to leave. Everything was beautifully furnished and well maintained. We haven't stayed many places as clean and comfortable as this. Of course, we did leave to see and do some of the attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. When we were done with the daytime activities we had a real home away from home to come back to. We are already booking the Over The Top cabin for a long weekend next spring.
